100

O--Outside.
Joe says I have to go outside every day for at least ten minutes. He says if I don’t I get grumpy. It's true. But I am also a homebody. It's quite the conundrum. So. I make an event out of getting the mail. Or I go jogging (see J). Or take Levin on a walk.

Levin is having a much better time than it appears.

Or I go to Pikes. Which kills two birds with one stone when I bring the outdoors indoors with fresh flowers.

That's me. The explorer of the great outdoors.

P--Pho.
We love Vietnamese food in this house, especially pho. I’ve decided, even though its dirt cheap at many local restaurants, I should learn to make it. Complete with homemade broth without bouillon cubes. Would you like to come over for some? Not to toot my own horn, but it’s really good.

Pre-accouterments of Thai Basil, jalapenos, chili peppers, cilantro, lime, and fresh bean sprouts.

Q--Questions.
Question I most frequently ask Joe: Should we maybe just have cereal for dinner?
Question Joe most frequently asks me: Dear, did you get “X” done today?
Most common answer to above questions: No

P.S. This is my 100th blog post. Given that I've had this blog for 3 years, I'd say I need to pick up my game.

I so look forward to these alphabet listings. I especially loved you the explorer of the great outdoors. That is such a great picture of you and Levin.

I'm so amazed at your cultural tongue. I'm surprised it still craves cereal sometimes.

100 posts? That is 100 entries more than it would have been had you not written a blog. I say the things you have recorded are great and I look forward to the next 1000.

I love you.

1. I'll say again how much I love the alphabet catch-up. It's purely delightful.

2. Maybe I need to try your Vietnamese food, because my experience with Vietnamese food has not been great. I do love Thai food, though.

3. Seattle is close-ish to Portland. Wouldn't it be fun if I could meet you in person somehow?

4. Finally, I love your blog too. Seriously.

When can I come for dinner? YUM.
I love you.
Happy 100th Blog day!! You should celebrate by having cereal for dinner. :)

Three questions:
1. Do you sprout your own bean sprouts for this recipe, and will you share?
2. How far away do you live from Pike's?
3. Are you sure you and Levin BOTH have a good time together? Because I never see him smiling as much as you. :)
I love you,
Aunt RAchel

I found your blog through my daughter Charlotte's (your comments on Shopper's Math). Let me tell you the second best thing to Shopper's Math: Dumb Dinner Night. Dumb Dinner Night is when you plan to have 1) whatever you can find in the fridge, 2) cold cereal of any variety, or 3) popcorn. The best thing about Dumb Dinner Night is that when you actually decide ahead of time to have it, you don't even feel guilty about not cooking a real dinner when the time comes.

Take it from me, learn early to work Dumb Dinner Night into your menu plan. You'll thank me!

Ha ha ha. Ande I'm just reading this and am loving these blogs. I think it's funny you have to make yourself go outside. Me too. We should go outside together. It isn't that I don't want to go, I just get busy with things and FORGET to go. I love these. You are still Levins BFF, but he's kind of loving his reflection in the mirror a lot lately.

I knew I could count on you to know and love great art! The Sabines was not even listed on my map so when I got to the picture of Napoleon and saw the Intervention of the Sabines right next to it I believe I made an audible gasp. So great!

I'm also loving your great list! Your life sounds lovely, and I wish you were my English teacher.
